He was born in Yozgat in 1979 and completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. In 2004, he graduated as the honor student from the Food Engineering Department at Hacettepe University. That same year, he began working as an engineer at the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. From 2004 to 2008, he served as a Food Controller and Mid -Level Manager at the same institution. In 2008, he started working as an expert at the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (ARDSI). Throughout his career there, he has held various positions, including expert, senior expert, and unit manager. He played an active role in establishing procedures and negotiating with the EU Commission, contributing to the processes necessary for the institution's accreditation. In February 2024, he was appointed as the Coordinator of Coordination Unit for Accounting. He completed his master's degree in Food Engineering at Middle East Technical University in December 2024. Mr. Çalışkan is proficient in English, is married, and has two children.
