WOMEN’S LABOR IN AGRICULTURE SUMMIT STARTS ON 6TH MARCH

Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution organizes “Women’s Labor in Agriculture Summit” in Ankara on 6th-8th March.

The summit to be honored by First Lady Emine Erdoğan and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı brings together entrepreneur women investing in various provinces of Türkiye supported with ARDSI grants.

The first day of the program ends with the session themed “Rural Areas and Women’s Participation in Rural Economy”.

Interview with one of the greatest actresses of Yeşilçam cinema

An interview with Yeşilçam’s great actress Hülya Koçyiğit is planned on 7th March after the sessions of “Supportive Mechanisms for Women’s Investments in the Rural Area” and “Women’s Employment and Role in Organization in Rural Areas”.

After the interview, two sessions titled “Women’s Role in Agriculture, Food and Water Policies” and “Women Pursuing their Dreams into Reality with ARDSI-IPARD Grants” are to take place giving the floor to the investors featured on Chasing After your Dreams, a TV show on TRT.

The summit ends on 8th March, the International Women’s Day, with sessions titled “IPARD Programme and Women”, “Rural & Agro Tourism and Women”, “Heirloom Seed: from Tradition to Future” and “IPARD III Programme Presentation”.

During the sessions to be attended by competent figures from public and private sectors and non-governmental organizations, options of novel strategies concerning the role of women in rural development and strengthening their role are going to be discussed in exhaustive detail.

Entrepreneur women investing in various sectors with ARDSI grants will be sharing their experiences and respond to questions of the participants.

During the summit, stands are going to be opened by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Department of Training and Publication, the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, ARDSI, the General Directorate for State Hydraulic Works, the General Directorate of Forestry, the General Directorate of Water Management, the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises, the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies and Turkish Grain board as well as LAGs and entrepreneur women as recipients of ARDSI grants.

A photo exhibition of “Agriculture, Forestry and People” is going to be held on the course of the summit.
