Several sessions were held on the second day of the “Women’s Labor in Agriculture Summit” organized in Ankara by the Agriculture and Rural Development Institution.
Ankara MP Zeynep Yıldız, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security General Director of Insurance Premium Savaş Alıç, Turkish Employment Agency-İŞKUR Deputy General Director Mustafa Işık, Head of Department Gözde Ayanoğlu from the General Directorate of Craftsman and Cooperatives and The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGIDER) Executive Committee Member Beyza Beyzade Berkol were panelists at the Session on Women’s Employment and Participation in Organization in the Rural Areas.
Another session of the day was dedicated to Women’s Role in Agriculture, Food and Water Policies. General Director of Water Management Afire Sever, Head of the Agricultural Economics Department Prof. Dr. İlkay Dellal from Ankara University, Turkish Industry and Business Association-TÜSİAD Deputy Secretary General Nurşen Numanoğlu, Director of Water Management Institute Prof. Dr. Gökşen Çapar from Ankara University and Secretary General of the Federation of Food and Drink Associations of Türkiye Nihal Ayşe Mortepe discussed the topic from different angles as panelists.
During the session titled “Women Pursuing their Dreams into Reality with ARDSI-IPARD Grants”, Fatma Duman, Meral Kubuş, Gülnaz Gülsüm Gültekin, Nilgün Kantar and Gülberg Göydağ who are entrepreneur women featured on Chasing After your Dreams, a TV show on TRT, shared their investment stories as best practices and answered the questions of the participants.
The summit will end with the sessions of the 8th March, International Women’s Day.
