The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumaklı said, 'We will launch our IPARD III Program with new supports soon. We are expanding the support program we have implemented in 42 provinces to cover all 81 provinces.'
In his address during the 2024 budget discussions at the plenary session of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TGNA), Minister Yumaklı stated that agricultural support is one of the most significant political instruments for food supply security.
Yumaklı stated that they have supported and will continue to support producers in ensuring sustainability in production, increasing efficiency, and effective use of resources and went on to say:
“Rural development is a pivotal field of policy adopted by our Ministry. We prioritize women, the youth and producer’s organizations in scope of our support programs. The IPARD III Programme will soon be started introducing new means of support. We are going to extend the support programme currently applicable in 42 provinces to cover the whole country, namely 81 provinces.”
Following the end of remarks, 2024 budgets of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and its affiliated bodies were adopted.
