ARDSI has approved the applications for 45 projects with a total payable grant amount of 210,6 million liras.
Out of the IPARD II 13th Call Period Projects submitted to ARDSI and completing the assessment process by ARDSI officials as the 3rd group of applications, 31 livestock projects comprised of 18 milk, 10 red meat and 3 poultry meat facilities have been considered eligible for grant support alongside 14 projects for marketing and processing of food, 7 out of which are milk processing facilities, 2 projects for processing of fisheries products and 5 projects for processing of fruits and vegetables.
The livestock investments will receive 106,3 million liras of grant while the investments in food processing and marketing sector will be supported with 104,3 million liras of grant. The estimated grant total of the projects concerned is 210,6 million liras and once the investment process is completed, they will contribute to Turkish economy as much as 380,7 million liras.
As of April 2024, the number of projects supported in the 13th Call Period of IPARD II Programme has risen up to 379, with the grants corresponding to a sum of 1,2 billion liras and the investment amount being recorded even higher as 2,1 billion liras.
The IPARD Programme, which has been developed by EU as an instrument to support its candidate states and potential candidates financially in the field of rural development, aims to promote rural investments on EU standards with a particular focus on preventing the young population at working age from leaving the rural areas in pursuit of city life.
