4 BILLION 708 MILLION TL GRANT SUPPORT FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENTS IN 2023

The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı mentioned the rural development investments realized in 2023, continuing his remarks that 4 billion and 708 million liras of grant was made available to that end, which created employment opportunities for 13 thousand and 481 individuals with the projects supported. 

The figures relating to the rural development investments in 2023 were cited as below:

3,375 projects received 3 billion liras of grant support in scope of the IPARD Programme. The supported projects created employment opportunities for 7,200 citizens.

Within the framework of the Project for Supporting the Rural Development Projects, 495 projects received 648 million Turkish liras in grant payments, resulting in the employment of 2,084 individuals.

Under the Individual Irrigation Systems Support Program, 6,522 projects received 609 million Turkish liras in grants, facilitating the irrigation of a project area stretching across an area of 749 thousand hectares.

Under the Expert Hands Project, 320 million Turkish liras were provided in grants, supporting 1,292 entrepreneurs.

In scope of the Externally Funded Rural Development Projects, 131 million Turkish liras were provided in grant support, resulting in the employment of 2,905 individuals.

Minister Yumaklı emphasized that they declared 2023 the year of rural investments, highlighting that their grant support of 4 billion 708 million Turkish liras provided employment opportunities for thousands. Ending his remarks, the Minister stated "We are going to continue increasing our grant support for rural investments."
