Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that 3 billion liras of grant was paid in total in 2023 in scope of the IPARD II Programme and they would announce calls for projects in 81 provinces with the implementation of the IPARD III to promote sustainable rural development and create new employment opportunities. He remarked that the production would get even stronger with the new investments to come.
In 2023, several sectors were supported with grant payment as follows: 1 billion and 55 million liras for renewable energy investments, 706 million liras for beekeeping, handicrafts and aquaculture sectors, 650.7 million liras for plant production, 245.4 million liras for rural tourism, 127.7 million liras for processing and marketing of agricultural and food products, 121.7 million liras for livestock production, 54.5 million liras for promoting local development strategies and 9 million liras for erosion control in agricultural fields.
